The Rev. Tony Bradshaw serves St. James as Senior Pastor.  Pastor Tony began his pastorate on July 1, 2014.  Pastor Tony is a second-career pastor who comes to St. James with a heart for ministry and for others.  Words that have been used to describe Pastor Tony are:  Scriptural; Spiritual; Animated; Passionate; Youthful; Physically Fit; and Humble.  He considers his call to St. James "a call to relationships, not to a job".  We welcome Pastor Tony and his wife, Debbie into our church and into our community.

Mark Douglas Frye serves as the Director of Worship and Music/Organist at Saint James Lutheran Church in Concord, North Carolina, a position he has held since 2000. At Saint James, he oversees a vibrant music ministry that offers opportunities for everyone. Mark’s duties include directing the Parish Choir (the parish’s principle choral ensemble), the Bells of Saint James (a five-octave bell choir),the Singing Seniors (a senior adult choir that presents musical programs every Thursday morning in local nursing homes), and the RSCM Choristers (youth in grades three through high school). He also administers the Dunford-Ridenhour Concert Series on which Mark presents an Annual Christmas organ recital each year in addition to hosting guest artists including choirs, organists, and instrumentalists from around the country. During his time at Saint James, Mark spent two years overseeing a $300,000 renovation of the church’s historic 1927 Hook and Hastings pipe organ. In addition to his duties at Saint James, Mark founded and serves as the Artistic Director of the Cabarrus Chamber Singers, a 16-voice semi-professional chorus that presents concerts around the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Mark also served as Artistic Director of the Piedmont Choral Society for six years prior to establishing the Cabarrus Chamber Singers. Mark has held positions as Director of Music and Organist since the age of 16 in Baptist, United Methodist, Episcopal, and Lutheran churches. Having served parishes in Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina, he has also served as Organist in St. James Cathedral in Innsbruck, Austria and St. Urslua's Basilica in Munich, Germany. In 2003, Mark conducted a 14-day European Tour of the Saint James Parish Choir where they were the visiting choir for High Mass in Saint Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy; Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome; Melk Abbey in Melk, Austria; and in Saint Stephen's Church, Vienna Austria. In addition to serving as the guest choir for several High Masses, the Parish Choir presented full concerts in Germany, Austria, and Italy. Mark's professional engagements include the American Guild of Organists, National Association of Pastoral Musicians, Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, the American Choral Director's Association, and the Royal School of Church Music. In 2013, Mark was nominated and inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda, the National Music Honor Society. The primary objective of the Society is the recognition and encouragement of the highest level of musical achievement and academic scholarship. Mark did his undergraduate work at the University of South Carolina where his major was Music Education. While at USC he studied organ with William H. Bates, voice with Tonya Currier, and choral conducting with Larry D. Wyatt. Mark also received a degree in Organ Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston- Salem, NC where he was a Kenan Organ Scholar. His teachers at UNCSA included Jack Mitchener and Erica Johnson. Mark received his Master's Degree in Choral Conducting from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC where he was a student of Dr. Katherine Kinsey. Mark has done post-graduate studies toward his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from the University of South Carolina where he is a student of Dr. Larry D. Wyatt.

Debbie Wilkinson joined Saint James Lutheran Church in June, 2013 as a Part-Time Parish Administrator.  She is married to Johnny and they have one daughter, Kelly married to Jim.  Debbie previously worked as Coordinator for Mission, Justice, Disaster and Hunger Programs for the Presbytery of Charlotte.  She has a heart for mission and stays involved with various Boards and Agencies that provide this outreach.

Jill Irvin joined the staff as Finance Administrator in August 2015. She is a life-long member of St. James Lutheran Church where she is active in the Bells of St. James. She graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Mathematics and was previously employed as Finance Officer with Cabarrus Arts Council, a local non-profit. She is married to Frank and has four children. 

Cindy Cruse joined the staff of Saint James in May, 2013 as Hospitality Coordinator.  She is married to David and they have two children.  Cindy enjoys cooking and working in the kitchen and helping people.  She cooks and helps prepare meals for VBS, Lively Leisures, Wednesday Night's Together, and special events at Saint James.
