Christian Education
St. James offers a wide range of Sunday School opportunities for all age groups. We have seven classes for children ages three through High School and four classes for adults. A nursery is provided for children under three years old. A paid staff person covers the nursery along with parent volunteers during the worship service.
There are also many Christian Education activities for the Church family throughout the year. These include:
· Easter Egg Hunt for Children
· Rally Sunday
· Vacation Bible School
· Christmas program
· Little LYNC – meetings are one Wednesday each month for ages three through fifth grade
· LYNC – program for Middle School and High School youth
Sunday School classes meet each Sunday from 9:45 – 10:45 am. The Sunday School classes for children are currently using the Spark Curriculum from Augsburg Fortress. It is a lectionary-based curriculum where the Sunday School lessons correspond to the worship lessons and seasons.
Classes for the Nursery through grade five are located on the first floor of the Education building. The Middle and High School classes meet on the 3rd floor of the main building.
The table below represents the Sunday School teachers for our youth and adult classes. If you have an interest in a class below, feel free to ask a teacher on Sunday morning. They would be more than happy to answer any questions.
